Woodland High School recently hosted its first-ever FIRST Tech Challenge Lowcountry Qualifier Event. This marked an important milestone for the school and its robotics program. The event brought together schools from across the Lowcountry to compete and showcase their robotics skills.

Teams built and programmed robots designed to pick up artifact balls and place them into hoops during matches. Each team carefully considered design, strategy, and teamwork to score points and complete the challenge. The competition highlighted strong problem-solving skills and creativity from all students involved.

This event would not have been possible without the support of teachers, volunteers, and students. A special thank you goes to Mr. Rolack for leading and supporting the event. Additional thanks to the volunteers who helped ensure everything ran smoothly: Juan Gonzalez-Mora, Carolina Lachance, Haven Main Main, Zooey Main, Jayvonne Mayfield, and Jabbar Nelson.

All participating students played a vital role in making this inaugural event a success. From competing to helping with setup and organization, everyone contributed in meaningful ways.

Hosting the Lowcountry Qualifier Event was an exciting experience for Woodland High School and reflected the hard work and dedication of its students and staff.
