Jeffrey Beckwith, M.Ed. served as the Director and Executive Director of Elementary Schools in Charleston County School District for three years before coming to DD4. Before his time in Charleston County, he served as the principal of North Charleston Elementary and Williams Memorial Elementary schools. He has also served as an Assistant Principal at Cairo-Durham Middle/High School in New York and at Woodland High School in Dorchester, South Carolina. Beckwith began his educational career as a K-5 Physical Education teacher at Williams Memorial Elementary. Beckwith earned a Bachelor’s degree from Chowan College in Murfreesboro, N.C., his Master’s degree in Elementary School Administration and Supervision from Charleston Southern University and his Superintendent Certification from Youngstown State University.
