Dorchester School District Four is proud to share this important summer opportunity for families.

Splash Into Safety is back for its 6th summer, offering swim lessons for just $1 per lesson. The goal is simple: remove cost as a barrier and help more children gain basic swim skills and water safety education before the summer months.

Access to swim lessons remains limited in many upper Dorchester communities, making this program an important resource for families.

For more information & registration, visit the Summerville Family YMCA Website: https://summervilleymca.org/splash-into-safety/

Yesterday, Dorchester School District Four held the final session of our 2nd Annual Assistant Principal’s Academy.

Dr. April Sanders, our Chief Human Resources Officer, got things started with an icebreaker that had
everyone laughing and being real with each other right from the jump. Our assistant principals then learned about serving as a chief communicator from Mr. Lakin, Public Relations Director, and explored school finances, including how to read and use account numbers, with Mrs. Cribb, Senior Accountant for Dorchester School District Four.

Superintendent Mr. Beckwith closed the session with words of encouragement that reminded everyone in the room why this work matters.

Two years into this Academy, we couldn't be prouder of the growth and dedication our assistant principals bring to their schools, their students, and their communities every day.
